Southern Fried Fish Cakes Recipe for Salmon

Ingredients: ? 14.75 oz can of salmon, mullet, tuna
or the fresh fish of your choice.
? 2pc fresh finely chopped green onions
? 1 whole egg
? ? tsp salt
? ? tsp black pepper
? ? tsp of lemon juice
? ? cup self-rising flour
? ⅛ cup fine white cornmeal mix
? ? tsp cayenne pepper (Optional)
? ? tsp Old bay seasoning (Optional)
Directions: 1. Remove all bones and skin from fish
2. Finely chop green onions
3. Add green onions to the rest of the
ingredients in a separate bowl
4. Add fish minus liquid into ingredients and
mix well by hand
5. Pan fry for apx. 3 minutes on each side
until golden brown
6. Place on paper towels to absorb oil
7. Serve plain or with the condiment of your
choice
Other Notes: Other possible options to cook are pan fry, deep fry and air fry.
