Fly Fished towards Remington used a hand made hopper. Fished around boulders and along the channels edges.

Walked trail and scouted the creek and shore line. In 2009 I visually located some nice areas that might produce some bass. I need to revisit the area again soon.

Fly fished the northern side from the bridge at Kelly's Ford. Numerous fish seen however I caught about 30 sunfish and 2 smallmouths. I was fishing the slow areas between the swift current.

Ample river bank and rivers edge area to stand and fish. There is a public boat ramp with 35 vehicle and trailor parking spots (paved)

117 acre lake, part of the Virginia Dept. of Game & inland Fiseries Lakes. More information is provided in the 2010 Freshwater Fishing in Virginia Manual.

Travel from Locks Mill to Bentonville searching and locating the public boat launches. Also visually educated myself with the area and water flow. Water was high due to the rains pervious days.
