Well we hit the water in the back bay at about 7 am, High tide and warming already. It was hot and it was slow but steady. We had to be in by noon so we worked the shorline marsh and islands with chartreuse cocoho minnows. In 4 hours we had 2 reds, 4 good flounder along with a couple of small trout and one wayward croaker. Not a good day but caught enuff to eat anyways.

Fishing for monster snook at night with artificials. I would rig a white bicktail or shrimp grub or paddletail in 1/4oz. Using this rig I would go up on the south side bridge walkway on the east side and slowly walk down the bridge bouncing the jig off the bottom. I tore into a lot of snook this way and quite large ones at that! Side benefits were quite a few redfish and trout when they were running. Bring a flying gaff you can slide down to the fish.

Casting for reds and trout on the falling tide. Start out with a cocoho (chartreuse) minnow fishing the points of the sandbar islands and watch for the gulls congregating. If you see the birds the trout are schooling under them! Reds will be 8+ and the trout will run 2-4lbs when you can find them.
