Review: This is one of my most favorite trout waters in the NRV area. I normally don't wet my line until about 15 mins of hiking in. The closer you get to the falls the more brookies you'll catch. Dry attractors with some red in them (royal humpy) are great. When I'm nymphing, I'm using gold ribbed hare's ear (sometimes with a bead head). All the fish are small, but there are LOTS of them. It's not uncommon to catch 20+ in 5 hours of fishing here.

Review: This is a great place to spend a few days fishing. The road in, is long but dont give up. Its worth it. At the end of the road is a picnic area that is very nice. There is a facility and water is available for drinking. There are two paths that follow this Creek up several miles to the Cascades. The path to the left, or straight, will take you on a high road.(and I do mean high!) the lower path whaich branches off several times to the right, will keep you down in the canyon on the water for the most part. It is very steep here w/ big boulders, and pocket water. This makes fishing a challenge sometimes. Short fly rods are needed! Rainbows dominate the Creek from the parking lot to the falls. Above the falls is Brookie water. Be in some sort of physical condition for this trip or you may not get very far. Take rain gear, and water with you, no matter what the weather. You will need the water.
