You will have the regular summer fair to go after. Most stuff will be in the bay or on the ocean front by that time. There is a really big difference in what will be available depending if you charter out of Rudee Inlet (ocean) or Lynnhaven Inlet (bay). The ocean will have small blues, spanish mackerel, spadefish, sea bass, and the usual assortment of small stuff like croaker, perch, spot, maybe a small trout, etc.
The bay (around the CBBT) will be coming to the end of the Big Red Drum run. The Black Drum will be starting to set up at the islands, sheepshead and spadefish and croaker will be on the bridge pilings. The flounder should be plentiful, as well as bluefish, small trout, and spanish mackerel at dusk and dawn.
I highly recommend Craig Page for a 1/2 day charter. I think I have his cellphone number if you need it. I always used my own boat but if I had to hire one Craig would be the guy.
Consider this! Night time fishing that time of the year is super!!! |
