C'mon guys, I know there are more flyfisherman out ther than me bob1,flyroddinva,and dave . So someone put something in here . But just in case any one wants to know, the river (thats the New River 'round here) and nearly all it's tributaries are great for smallies , rockbass, robins (pumpkinseeds) and carp. All are really good places to be from April thru October. And many of them double as trout streams in the colder mos. . Just drift a wooly bugger(good in any color...so long as it's black) thru any good run in one of these waters and hold on! I hope to see some responses ,but if not ,I'll just keep all this fine fishing to myself...TIGHT LINES... |

| I am interested in fly fishing. I have been away from fishing in general for couple of years. I have recently began to make time to fish again. I live in the Richmond area, and have begun research on fly fishing. I have a cheap wal mart rod and reel for now. I am looking into planning a trip for trout this fall. I will check back periodically to see if you have any advice for me. |
